Technical Skill Builder Camp

WHERE: Central, Idaho
We are welcoming you to our very own backyard training grounds – technical 12,000 ft peaks, natural Idaho hot springs, refreshing mountain lakes, stunning untouched wilderness, minimal public exposure.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Beginner Camp will be based out of the Burnt Creek Cabin in Clayton, Idaho. This is a rustic cabin located within 10 minutes of main wilderness access used for camp with several hotspring options within 10 minutes, and trail access located right off the property for additional skill building. The cabin has 3 large bedrooms with bunk style accommodations that will be shared amongst 10 camp attendees, with 2 full bathrooms. This is a rustic location with basic accommodations, but provides a close-knit atmosphere. All meals will be provided thanks to our onsite Camp Chef (can cater to dietary needs).

COST:
Beginner’s Camps: $800 with a $200 nonrefundable deposit

*Beginner Camp attendee requirements: This is meant for any and all participants! Whether you are a seasoned athlete, but get wobbly knees on rocky terrain or with heights or exposure, to being a city-dweller having no experience in mountainous terrain 🙂 this camp is for you! There will be options to add and take away challenge based on your comfort level, while still achieving summit views (without the exposure), and developing beginner skills on beautiful, lovely scree fields in a safe, comfortable atmosphere. This is a no drop, welcoming atmosphere. You will still have full days of “time on feet” but designed to accommodate the novice adventurist.*

Schedule

Thursday: Arrive to Sun Valley, Idaho where transportation will be provided to Airbnb in Clayton, Idaho. Arrive to cabin by mid afternoon.

Run: Beginning off-trail running 1-2 hours, low mileage
Evening Activity: Nutrition Basics, Fueling for Mountain Adventures and Safety Briefing

Friday: Mountain Skill building Day
Run: 1/2 to 3/4 day of “time on feet” – rest breaks built in for individualization and skill building
Evening Activity: Route Planning, Topo Maps and Technology

Saturday: Peak Bagging Day
Run: 3/4 to full day of “time on feet”
Evening Activity: Hot Springs as desired, Core Basics, Injury Prevention

Sunday: Brunch, Camp Awards and Departure for Home by noon-1pm.
Run: AM before brunch optional
